Once In A Moon Veggie Potsticker

I am a grocery-shopping lover and always enjoy exploring every single supermarket in Seoul. If I discover vegetables I have never seen before or vegetarian frozen food in the mart, I feel so much happiness as like winning the lottery. However, I seldom see vegetarian or vegan frozen dumplings in the mart. And somehow, sometimes I miss veggie dumplings and potstickers from Taiwan (it is easily to be found in Taiwan) A LOT. Thus, when I noticed this Chinese Restaurant called #서두산딤섬 in Jamsil, I entered directly without hesitation.

Ordered Japchae (잡채) and Veggie Potstickers (야채군만두).

Veggie Dumplings, Veggie Potstickers! Can I have them all?

Yes! Yes! Of course You Can!

Though 서두산딤섬 is not pure #vegetarianrestaurant, it offers plenty #vegetarianoptions on the menu, such as Japchae, Mapo Tofu Rice, and Fried Rice. (While you order, kindly inform staff that you are vegetarian.) So, I ordered one Japchae and Veggie Potstickers (there're 10 pieces for a serving.) This amount of food was perfectly enough for 2 people. If you order Veggie Dumplings, there will be 13 pieces for a serving.

Potsticker fillings are made with leek (also called Chinese chives), black fungus, onion, and egg.

The taste of potsticker isn't salty at all, which only shows the original taste of every vegetable. You could choose to have it with soy sauce. I went with some soy sauce and vinegar, the taste was refreshing. I especially love the crispy skin of potsticker itself. I will definitely try the veggie dumplings when my next visit! As for Japchea, it is more like Chinese Style compares to the Korean Japchea. (Maybe because they don't add any sesame oil, as per my guessing.) Overall, I really enjoyed the food and could tell this restaurant is POPULAR since there were many people queuing while we dined in! Stop here once when you visit #Jamsil #Seoul next time!
